I’m writing this post to remind travelers, just like us – excited, disoriented, distracted – there are things you can and should do to protect yourself.
Sometimes I think people assume moving to Europe means bringing their current cost of living with them.
It hit me the other day, that no matter where I live, I’m never going to have all my friends and family in the same place again. Never. Nope. Accept it. But don’t accept being distant.
I almost didn’t have a choice. When I leave home, I’m going to need to speak at least a little Spanish.
If we wait for kids to grow up, the house to be paid off, the job promotion that will make us feel enough…well, you know where I’m going with this.
It’s not that complicated but requires more than a one-sentence answer, so I often feel like Lucy Ricardo with a lot of ‘splaining to do.
Don’t worry about missing things; worry about missing life.
